I hope Tony Snow is listening. He didn't think this speech should be given on Veterns Day.

Tony's a good guy but he is wrong on that, dead wrong. Our dead are resting, our old soldiers are watching the speech. Our current crop of warriors needed to hear exactly this speech on exactly this day.

They need to know that the CIC is 100% behind their mission and that he will take on the lying garbage who try to undermine their mssion each and every day.

May the Good Lord give him the strength and wisdom to continue this way on a daily basis. No more oval office, get out with the people and go on the offensive.

Wehn did this Administration ever say Saddam was behind 9/11? Just because people thought that does not mean the admin accused it.

Just checking in to see if he slammed the enemy within? I think some patriotism questioning is in order.

Watching Fox -- they just had Arnaud de Borchgrave on, who said the ideological battle between Islam and the West will go on for decades. Hmm, he's saying Bush didn't answer the question of whether bin Laden was behind 9/11. At one time we thought Saddam was behind the attacks.

Look, a year ago this would have been painted as nothing but campaign rhetoric. For goodness sake, now that he has made a good speech, are you going to gripe about the timing? Can't you be happy and relieved that he did what you have been griping about for months? PLEASE try to have some optimism.

" In all honesty, this speech should have been given a year ago. He's let the lies continue for so long that they've percolated into the American consciousness. Some people will never change their minds now. Morale for the troops has been hurt and hurt badly.

I do NOT understand the reluctance not to take to the airwaves and defend the policies of the administration, the war and condemn the lies on the left. It's a form of insanity, imo."

Well said. And this speech had better be just the beginning .
Welcome back, Mr President-we missed you.

The MSM coverage has already been written for tonight:

"Mister Bush gave a speech today honoring Veterans, and in other news a new study says . . ."

Thats okay I think CSpan does repeats of speeches later in the evening. They are pretty good like that. Otherwise sometimes the WH website keeps them online.

Make them have to act of all insulted every night on the MSM networks. It'd be nice if some Republicans in congress joined in attacking the Dems.

It is the press who reported extensively on the link between Saddam and 9/11. They think we've forgotten.
