"break away" for some important messages on global warming.

We are destroying the planet's ability to heal itself! Details at 10!

I agree with all your points except "a".

If Turkey hadn't decided to screw us at the last moment and allowed the 4th ID to come down into Iraq through their border, we would have had MUCH better control of the country in far less time. Because of their deception, we had to rely on the 3rd ID alone coming up through S. Arabia/Kuwait.

"ANYBODY besides Scott McClellan should have that job. He's the weakest link."

Actually, seems to me that Scott serves well just as he is, being a nice guy to an obviously hostile and RUDE mob.

But Scott, DO take the assertiveness up about three notches.

And every day, wear a big 'Cheney for President' button just for Helen Thomas.

The country needs more than another speech right now. It needs CA union style heavy duty non-stop t.v. ads to get the truth out.

I wish he would sound as confident and forceful as he did in his speech on September 20, 2001. He hit a home run.

"About time. Bush has the bully pulpit as a tool. He needs to use it, not waste it."

He's never used it, and I don't expect him to start now.

I've hardly ever heard him directly address his critics. Even with kerry and gore, he only did it obliquely.

Yep. He does best when he speaks from the heart, not a prepared speech.

He really has nothing to lose at this point, and any fight he shows, will energize the base.

HELLO, WH, ARE YOU HEARING US?!

The problem isn't with Scott--the problem is with what WE permit to be our Fourth Estate.

If enough people STOPPED buying subscriptions and enough businesses STOPPED buying ads (found alternatives) then the MSM would have to change, or die.

Hey, it's WORKING!

No way, only WE can beat them, if we give them as much venom as we do the Pres and his people.

I was wondering this morning if we are not lending too much importance to the has-been media by talking about them all the time. The rest of the country isn't paying attention to them, and it would appear that they pay less and less attention to them every election cycle. We news junkies are not typical consumers.

"Instead of making speeches, he should be laying the wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier."

I couldn't agree more!

But I think before the day is out, he will.

That is usually SOP for a POTUS on Veterans Day or is it Memorial Day that the President does that???

Well, still in all, McClellan is about as exciting as watching a dog turd dry on a summer's day.

I don't want to hear any crap about making Washington DC the Kumbaya capital of the universe. The WOT is too important for that. I would like to see the President drop the gloves and pick up a baseball bat.

As someone who does advertising for a living, I can say I do my part,

Unfortunately, Dimocrats also eat turkey, buy cars and use high-speed internet.

However, the demographic numbers for Pubbies are really attractive. We buy a lot of talk radio, Fox News, etc.

He can and will do both.

Tombb of the Unknown, I believe, is from WWI, making it fitting and proper to lay a wreath today.

I've always liked Veterans day better as a memorial than Memorial day, because the day is short, it's usually foggy with a chill in the air, the feelings are muted, the peace of the grave, and our brothers who offered their blood in Sacrifice comes easily to mind as the world goes on in its hurried bustle.

_________

That's what the media is going to say to make him look bad.

I'm sure he'd rather be honoring the Unknowns.

I suspect the President will release a new batch of WH attack dogs on the MSM reps in attendance as a display of his new "new tone". May they grow into the job and make us all proud. (/wish)

Kudos and Salutations to all who serve, served and sacrificed all FoR the Red White and Blue and done so with distinction and honor.

Standing by for marching orders, Sir. Semper Fi

Its win-win-win, really.

W gets rid of the institutionalized wonks who want to undermine him.

It gets rid of the Beltway socio-political-ladder climbing disorder that so influences the middle management types (think: Wilson/Plame)

It shows W's compassion for the rebuilding of NOLA as he leads by example to re-establishing legitimate businesses (albeit gummint) in the city.

President Bush has squandered many chances to strike back at the MSM and the low-life-losing libs, and today is one of them. His time to strike may be better used the night when "Commmander in Chief" is on TV. He could begin his speech in the usual manner and when he starts talking about the war in Iraq, he could reach into his right front coat pocket and read from his handwritten pages the quotes of the libs in Congress and MSM. As he is reading the quotes, members of his administration and Republican members from both houses of Congress could come into the picture to surround him, clapping their hands and showing their support.

God only knows what the MSM would do. Would this "stunt" get the same amount of MSM coverage as the Senate dems received after their "stunt"?
