Amazing to read the replies on this thread. Pat is telling the truth. There is actually scriptural precedent for his remark(indirectly)....Jesus told the disciples to wipe the dust from their shoes when they left a town that rejected the Gospel. I think when a person or society (and here is the key) OPENLY WITH FORETHOUGHT AND DELIBERATE ACTION reject God, then I think it very possible that God removes any hand of protection on them.

More and more, Americans just do not want to hear anything about God's RIGHTEOUSNESS or His JUSTICE, or (God forbid) His WRATH. The God of the Christians is indeed a loving and forgiving God. But He is by His very nature a God of justice, and that means He WILL JUDGE SIN.

I'm not one of Pat Robertson's cheerleaders by any stretch of the imagination. But, I get sick of everyone jumping his case every time he says something. AMAZING THAT WE NEVER HEARD THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA CONDEMN GOOD OLE LOUIS FARAKHAN RECENTLY WHEN HE SAID HE HAD BEEN BEAMED UP INTO A UFO.

God help us.

They didn't reject the Gospel, they rejected INTELLIGENT DESIGN. We have been told repeatedly that Intelligent Design has nothing to do with the Christian God, or any other particular God for that matter. Have we been lied to then, that this is all a farce, and that ID is simply a thin veneer over the face of Creationism?

Also, what Pat is saying almost makes him sound like some sort of mafia goon. "Gee, nice place you have there, it'd be a shame if something happened to it!"

So -- again -- voting out liars and perjurers about a "theory" that claims not to have anything to do with Jesus, God, or the gospel -- is the equivalent of OPENLY WITH FORETHOUGHT AND DELIBERATE ACTION "rejecting God?" That is a leap of logic of Grand Canyon proportions!

<< More and more, Americans just do not want to hear anything about God's RIGHTEOUSNESS or His JUSTICE, or (God forbid) His WRATH. >>

But the IDers have told us again and again that this is not about those things. Who is lying about this -- you or the IDers?

<< The God of the Christians is indeed a loving and forgiving God. But He is by His very nature a God of justice, and that means He WILL JUDGE SIN. >>

Hank loves you, too. And if you kiss his feet, you'll get a million dollars. But be warned -- if you don't, he'll beat the crap out of you. I still can't see all that much difference between my "gospel" and yours.

<< I get sick of everyone jumping his case every time he says something. >>

False to fact. Not everyone jumped his case. And -- we jump his case when he says something so patently moronic -- not every time he says anything.

<< AMAZING THAT WE NEVER HEARD THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA CONDEMN GOOD OLE LOUIS FARAKHAN RECENTLY WHEN HE SAID HE HAD BEEN BEAMED UP INTO A UFO. >>

Red Herring. It was reported, just as this nonsense from Robertson was reported. And we condemned GOOD OLE LUISE just as we are condemning GOOD OLE PAT. Why? For making such stupid statements. Entirely consistent.

telling anyone not to ask for God's help is a disservice to the Lord...
