To: in hoc signo vinces

Like it or not, our side lost last night. OK, we were looking to pick up governorships from the dems, but a loss is a loss. Does it mean anything for 2006? It very well could if the Republicans don't get their act together.

I think that they have already started to take the steps in that direction. But, there has to be more done from a certain occupant of the White House. He can no longer set a "new tone" (read bending over and taking it up the whazooo).

The Democrats don't have any real ideas. While we lost, of considerable interest is the Democratic wins in the Blue States were not exactly by landslide margins. Now, while a loss is a loss, I don't sense a tidal wave of anti-Bush anger out there in the country. And Bush's not going to be on the ballot next year so the Dems are going to have to come up with some ideas. I bet they won't go near the substance of who they really are.
