Homeowner fatally shoots driveway robber (TX)

(11/5/05 - KTRK/STAFFORD, TX) A confrontation between a Stafford homeowner and a suspected armed robber turned deadly Friday night.
Stafford police say the resident had just pulled into his driveway on Maple Leaf near Emerald Leaf Friday evening when an armed suspect tried to rob him. The homeowner had his own gun. Investigators say he shot and killed the suspect.
Two other suspects sped away from the scene in a small red car. They are still on the run.
Stafford police officers say the homeowner will not be charged because he acted in self-defense.

I wonder if it was some of those upstanding NOLA refugees looking for gas money???
Too, bad the other two perps did not develop the gunshot wound sickeness and die enroute to Emer Room.
I believe the man should receive a medal of commendation for taking out the trash and saving us valuable tax dollars.

I'm running to the TV even as we speak to turn on CNN and anxiously await the Brady Bunch news conference on yet another armed citizen that successfully defended himself with a gun..

The homeowner had his own gun. Lives will be saved in the future because of his preparedness.
Me thinks the surviving perp's will think twice before attempting this again.

Me thinks the surviving perp's will think twice before attempting this again.They'll probably think about relocating their criminal activities to a state like MA, NJ, or CA where they can be pretty sure that their victims won't be packing guns. States like TX and FL are no longer the happy hunting grounds for criminals that they used to be before shall issue CCW laws were passed.
