(11/5/05 - KTRK/STAFFORD, TX) A confrontation between a Stafford homeowner and a suspected armed robber turned deadly Friday night.
Stafford police say the resident had just pulled into his driveway on Maple Leaf near Emerald Leaf Friday evening when an armed suspect tried to rob him. The homeowner had his own gun. Investigators say he shot and killed the suspect.
Two other suspects sped away from the scene in a small red car. They are still on the run.
Stafford police officers say the homeowner will not be charged because he acted in self-defense.
CCW laws do work to reduce serious crimes however the opponents of such laws pull out all stops to generate a fear in all that CCW will only create a scenario of rampant crime.
I wonder what this defender of his property would be doing right now if he would have politely asked the perp to hang on for about 45 minutes while he dialed 911 and awaited the arrival of a LEO?
ME TOO! So glad to be a Texan! *~*
Joe Turd was counting on Joe Citizen to be unarmed and scared. Joe Turd was dead wrong.
BUMP!
I look forward to the day when it doesn't even have to be mentioned that charges will not be filed against the homeowner, because he acted in self-defense.I look forward to the day when everyone assumes that. I always love it when a bad guy takes a dirt nap. Nice shootin'!
Send him to France; one Texan could stop the riots.
