The problem with the French Underground was a lot of them were communist. I know some Germans that were in Paris in the army. They told me that the nationalist would turn the communist into them and the communist would turn in the nationalist. The underground fought among themselves more than they did the Germans.

I have read before that one of the reasons Partain conspired with the Germans is because he felt that was the only way he could save France from the communist.

Perhaps then, the French underground never disbanded. Perhaps it became the socialist party. I wonder if this logic would lead us to Chirac? How weird!

Random thought: Imagine how things might have gone if Di had married Dodie? I doubt Blaire would have been able to ally with us as he did.
