I'm votin' for crazy, Grampa Dave. But I also agree with other posters that have said this is a testing ground. Or, it could just be a bunch of clueless Islamic punks who just started something and it easily got out of control.

That's the question everyone is asking. When Sharon went up to the Temple Mount, that was the excuse for the infitada, just as the was the death of the two Moslem "youths" in Paris. I do think the Islamists have an agenda, and that hardliners in France are fanning the flames. Evidence that there is an actual battle plan might be if Marseilles goes up tonight. It is France's second city, and they say the downtown is 90% Moslem.

Southack posted a reply noting that DeGaulle may have done something like this to stay in power. I would put nothing past ChirIraq to stay in power. If he steps down, he might end up in Iraq as the star in a War Crimes Trial.

It has been my experience in life that nothing like this happens by accident. It is planned and coordinated although the French are denying it.

Tony Snow sat in for O'Reilly tonite. He had a guy named Steve Purl who was a former member of the Scotland Yard Special Ops.
Not only did Purl say it was Muslims, he said the Paris unrest is highly coordinated by terrorist ringleaders, and someone needs to go in and take them out before it will stop.
He also said that France's inability to deal with them is due to the fact they are a highly liberal, socialist society.
