Hi snugs. How is your Mum doing today? Is she more alert? Hope she's not in too much pain.
And, how is your Dad?

Visited mum she was still asleep though she did stir once and I am sure she was aware that someone was visiting her, not necessarily who but at least she realised we were there.
As usual she is suffering with anemia after the op, they tried to do a transfusion this afternoon/evening but unfortunately she was more awake than when we were there and tried to pull the tubes out. (I found this out when I rang the ward about 11.30pm UK time). They therefore decided to stop the transfusion and give her some pain medication in case that was part of the problem and once she was sleeping start the transfusion again so that she has it overnight whilst sleeping and hopefully does not try to pull the tubes out.
I will ring again at about 8.30am tomorrow. We have a direct number to the ward and you can ring anytime apart from shift change over times and the quiet hour (1.00 - 2.00pm). There is no restriction in ringing during the night.
