Did 'revoked' living willkill communicative man?

Family members are investigating what they consider to be suspicious circumstances surrounding the death of a nursing home patient at the center of a life and death tug-of-war reminiscent of the Terri Schiavo tragedy.

Seventy-nine-year-old Jimmy Chambers died in the early morning hours of Oct. 24 after the tracheotomy tubes that deliver oxygen from a ventilator to a hole in his neck became unhooked. Family members were told Chambers, a resident of the Anne Maria Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in North Augusta, S.C., apparently pulled the interlocking tubes apart.

"We're having it investigated. We're just incredulous," Chambers' daughter, Deanna Potter, told WND in reference to her siblings. "The last time I saw dad he was blowing me a kiss. I blew him one and he blew one back."

The retired dispatcher for Holland Motor Express died approximately 10 hours later. His death certificate indicates he died of "natural causes."

"Apparently, suffocation is a 'natural cause' when you're on a ventilator. We're contesting that," said Potter. "He suffocated. He didn't just pass away. He struggled and fought. And I'm just so angry."

Potter estimates it would have taken 10 to 14 minutes for her father, deprived of oxygen, to fall unconscious, and questions why the nursing home staff didn't come to his aid.

"The oxygen-saturation meter and his ventilator both would have had alarms going off. Four-thirty, five o'clock in the morning you'd think someone would hear this," she added. "That's the thing that really bothers me and makes me suspicious."

Oh, that was serious. OK, I'll concede that Mikey can understand money. Maybe he can't count it, but knows that a big pile of dollar bills is better than a pile of 8 dollar bills. :)

But I doubt his ability to comprehend goes further than that. That would actually be a good thing for his backers.. -

With this post and with great respect and appreciation for our friends in South Carolina, we continue the thread as the December Dailies.

And with great appreciation for what North Country Gazette is doing to keep our theme on the front burner, we start with an article from June Maxam. Please read the full article.

Michael Schiavo's announcement that he had formed a political action committee to get even with the Republicans and in particular for trying to save his wife's life created a lot of comments this past week.

As I reflect on all your words, I sip from a mug sent by a friend in SC, with a blue flag, a palmetto, a moon crescent, and a tribute to Col. Moultrie.

Beautiful state, nice people I met.

Makeup can create many illusions. I remember that pic someone posted of MS, and he did look like a corpse.

Doesn't Mikey own all the rights to this horror show? Hehehe, 6'5'' drag queens :-)

I've given this a bit of thought. Mikey says the trust fund is empty, and there is no money. Does anyone seriously believe that?

Now say you're trying to access money that you supposedly don't have. You need to account for it somehow, so why not run a scam, excuse me....create a PAC. You will "solicit donations", and make personal appearances. Theoretically, you can charge as much as you like to show up to an empty room.

See where I'm going with this? My bf brought up the topic of money laundering on a different subject, but I think it could apply to this. /tinfoil ;-)

Still, it must be that the popular MRS really is popular with many of the American people who ALSO would not hesitate for a moment to "let die" an inconvenient member of their own families.

In one report we read, Newton was quoted as saying Schiavo wouldn't be pocketing any of the money but yet at the "election center" on the site it says "your donations being put to work to pay for television and radio ads, direct mail or personal appearances for Michael Schiavo in the states and districts of political leaders who chose their own political gain over personal privacy and the rule of law".

Well, well. Brian Schiavo, owner of Credible Marketing, is the treasurer of TerriPAC. I wonder who will be paid to arrange the tv and radio ads, direct mail, and personal appearances for MS?

Maybe my tinfoil isn't wrapped as tight as I thought it was. What a sweet little set up.

Commentary from MELBOURNE, FL. It's so ridiculous that people believe the courts are all knowing. Well, in Florida they aren't. This on line site wishes Mikey's fight well. He'll need it because while Terri is in heaven, they are still fighting about her. When you are in league with dark forces, they never let go of you. He's captive to evil.

This letter to the obstinate bishop Robert Lynch bears reposting.

http://www.seattlecatholic.com/misc_20050308.html

Letter to Bishop Robert N. Lynch

In regards to: Statement of Bishop Robert N. Lynch, Bishop of Saint Petersburg, FL, Regarding Terri Schiavo

The Most Reverend Robert N. Lynch, Bishop of Saint Petersburg, Florida
P.O. Box 40200
Saint Petersburg, FL 33743-0200

Your Excellency,

I was deeply saddened to read Your Excellency's regretful statement about Terri Schiavo in this week's parish bulletin. I am shocked and mortified that a Roman Catholic Bishop would utter such confusing and ambivalent remarks to the diocese that he is charged to lead. Your Excellency's statement takes absolutely no position on an issue that affects each and every person in this nation, as well as the status of the Roman Catholic Church in the 21st Century.

The very idea that Your Excellency calls this issue "complex and tragic" is most baffling. There is nothing "complex" on the Church's stand on the value and dignity of human life, or on euthanasia. Human life is human life, PERIOD. It does not matter if one is a fetus, crippled, mentally retarded, completely healthy, or in a vegetative state. By refusing to make this distinction or in taking any stand on the potential murder of Mrs. Schiavo, Your Excellency may be indirectly endorsing the moral position of the pro-abortion lobby, pro-euthanasia lobby, and others who embrace the fundamental belief behind eugenics: Some lives are not as worth as much as others. Your Excellency further goes on to reduce the entire issue to a decision "made within a family." The family, while a vital institution, is not impervious to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Abortion can also be a decision "made within a family." Does that yield it precedence over the moral instruction of the Catholic Church? Absolutely not.

While Your Excellency correctly states that the situation is "tragic," the assignment of the adjective is not to the real tragedy. The real tragedy is that Your Excellency, a bishop and leader of the Holy Roman Catholic Church, has refused to take a clear stand on a moral issue regarding the sanctity of human life. The entire diocese is left to figure out for itself, one, what is right and what is wrong, and two, where our bishop and leader stand on this issue. Furthermore, Your Excellency appears to implicitly exculpate complicit judicial and legislative bodies is equally alarming. By placing the burden squarely on the shoulders of Michael Schiavo, Your Excellence seems to have given pulpit endorsed exoneration of politicians and judges who not only support Mr. Schiavo in his quest to kill his wife, but of euthanasia in general. This is absolutely inconsistent with the teachings of the Magisterium of the Holy Catholic Church. The question that immediately comes to my mind is where does Your Excellency stand on abortion? If you apply the same logic to that argument, an abortion is the sole responsibility of a mother, and not of the complicit doctors, politicians, and judges who comply and permit. It seems to me that there is absolutely no difference when discussing the morality of these two issues.

Lastly, Your Excellency alludes to the "best result for Terri." Well, what is it? What will it be for Terri that will yield her "best result?" Will it be life for Terri, or death? This is the question that I, as well as many other Roman Catholics, had hoped would be easily answered by a bishop of the Church. It seems to me that this question, left unanswered by a Roman Catholic bishop, will yield the same confusion and chaos that has afflicted our Holy Church over the past forty years. During this time, we have seen an unprecedented assault on the very existence of the Church that was put on this Earth by Christ Himself. Our immemorial traditions have all but vanished, our seminaries are virtually empty, our unity is dwindling, and the overwhelming majority of Catholics do not draw distinctions between right and wrong. It does not help us when the leaders of the Church in the Episcopacy will not do the same.

I implore Your Excellency to revisit your statement, and separate yourself from the consensus thought of the other Florida bishops who have concurred in not taking a clear and forceful stand for the teachings of the Holy Roman Catholic Church in the case of the life of Terri Schiavo.

THE MOTHER LODE: I found a Derek Newton blog. All campaign sites and left wing web sites are at this link. He's the fool that is pulling HINO's puppet strings now. There's a jpeg of the teens who came from D.C. and put tape over their mouths, a silent protest. The goofs at this link didn't even take note that they were teens who probably can't even vote yet.

Candidate for Fla Guv Charlie Crist is not ready to blame FEMA for S. Florida hurricane fraud in 2004. Well, of course not. Brownie runs in the same circle as Crist, which is "in circles".

Crist wouldn't help Terri at all.

Let's just rename Florida Semblerland and get it over with.

I am going to get a spooky picture of Jeb with Jesse Jackson. The lights behind them look like 3 crosses. It's just a lighting thing but take note.

A powerful outcome of the atrocity visited on Terri is the positive separation of of the true and false believers. Until all this happened, liberals could hide in the cloak of Catholicism and fuzzy-word their way out of debates. The Legacy of Terri has ensured these pretenders cannot hide so easily. That is certainly the way it goes with this bishop and his Lynch mob of sycophants.

Just darken the background a little bit and there are three crosses behind Jeb and Jesse.

FYI: No Christmas Tree at the Pinellas County Courthouse. Why is the war on Christmas right on the heels of the war on Terri? I think it's because it's the same forces.

Lap dog Pinellas Sixth Circuit Court treasures their breakfasts and luncheons at the sci-fi hotel.

An excerpt:

So why do liberals harbor this instinctive compulsion to cry “Bah, Humbug” every time Christmas comes around? Why do liberals tremble at the sight of Christmas trees? Why do they hate the idea of small children humbly acknowledging the true meaning of Christmas? The answer is simple. Christmas is the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ, and liberals hate the idea of people worshiping someone who is not one of them. They see themselves as being intellectually superior to everyone else, and thus harbor delusions of divine authority over mankind itself. This is why they feel at liberty to terminate pregnancies at their convenience. It is why they feel at liberty to decide whether Terri Schiavo lives or dies. It is why they feel at liberty to redefine marriage according to their own relativistic standards. It is why they feel they shouldn’t be sentenced to death if they’re convicted of murder. They feel this way because they are gods. Well at least this year we’ll all be enjoying Christmas and the gods won’t be.

O Friendship Tree, O Friendship Tree
