Broadcast excellence continues after an Operational Pause. Go get 'em, Rush!
No offense to you, or others who like BOR, but O'Reilly does not understand economics OR politics. He's just hyping stuff on his programs, pandering to listeners who think he's "looking our for you."
LOL---I grew up in Boulder, Colorado...and never even knew that cars or houses came with air conditioning!!!
But, what is worse, my husband grew up in Temple, Texas..and didn't have car or home A/C....YIKES!
To pass it without ammendments and without delay.
Roughly 38 RINO's did us in. With them, we'd have 2/3rds on this bill. I'll have to talk to my congressman Steve LaTourette (R?-OH). Also Jean Schmidt of Ohio voted no after telling redstate.org she supported it.
Economics taught young! Brilliant Rush RIGHT on. I had my 1st Econ class in college. Was a REAL eye opener.

I can only take small doses of BOR. He really thinks he knows EVERYthing. I wanted to write in and ask him about redistribution of wealth by all these other millionaires, etc., particularly the Dr.s since they really do make their $$ of the "suffering".
I believe it was GE that had to be dragged kicking and screaming to the courts before they would even begin to clean up the Hudson River. Those same corp. heads who are striving to be profitable are the same ones who are hiring illegal aliens.
The myth that it is in a companies best interest to serve the public interest is exactly that, a myth. Look back into history during the Civil War when soldiers were getting putrid canned meat and other food stuffs. Perhaps you would like to disband the USDA and take your chances on how pure your food would be.
Just how much is Bloviator worth these days himself?
I grew up in a town of about 15,000 we had NO bus line except for the School buses and THEY picked the kids up only outside the city until the late 1970s.
Thanks for the link on Clinton's latest LIE!
I am coming in late to this particular discussion (mostly because it's so boring! zzzzzz) but, what then is the difference between the oil companies and the gas, electric, phone providers who are heavily regulated?
ps: Oil is a necessary commodity that our society has decided is something we don't want to live without. Frankly, who cares how much it is? I drive a car that is not fuel efficient at all, and pay the price, because it's my choice. Why is Rush wasting all this time "educating" the masses, because the bottom line is we will pay whatever it costs or adjust accordingly.
No kidding! Getting rich off of us "poor folk" buying his dang books!!
The bill has been hanging around since April. The issue isn't dead by a long shot. I'm not concerned over what is being spun as bad news here.

Government for setting rules and oversight is fine. The problem is government today tries to choose winners and losers using their regulatory and rule making authority. And, it's not just Democrats either. Orin Hatch supported the Netscape lawsuit against Microsoft because Netscape is in his state. Enron was a major Democrat supporter under Clinton because the Clinton team was passing rules that kept competition out and benefited Enron.
Every time government start trying to help one company over another, or punishing a company to the benefit of another, it's gone beyond being an honest broker of the rules.
