Does anyone remember the story some time back about a bill Harry Reid puhed through the Senate, opening more land in Vegas for improvement. I seem to remember that when passed it provided a profit to his family.
Reid reminds me of the slimy Nevada senator in Godfather II.
I hope someone remembers, because I remember reading something on here about Harry's kids and thier involvement in the Nevada gaming industry and development. As I recall it reeked of neoptism and deals favoring money for Harry and his kid's companies.
I guess Harry has cronies in the gaming industry? LOL!

..And I don't even live there...
I remember it. Rush Limbaugh and the LAT were the only people who exposed it. But .. after Reid's grandstanding yesterday, it should be re-exposed again.
I'll send Rush a note - if enough of us ask him - maybe he'll post it again.
Yes. I am sure that situation occurred, for I seem to vaguely recall something like that, too. The reason I am commenting on this is because of the cry-baby tactics he used in calling the closed session senate meeting. Everyone can figure out what children do when they don't get their way. Anyway, getting back to the profit routine, Isn't that always the prime motivator for all the lovelies sitting up there in Washington? They don't do diddly squat to truly help us people become more informed citizens. They only make certain we are fed information that will steer us to their point-of-view. Yuk! Yuk! Yuk! What a pathetic mess!
That picture is so, so, funny. And probably incredibly true! You Go, COBOL2Java...
Thanks, I knew someone would have access to this info.
I think it is time to follow Reids little rat feces back to his corrupt base. Maybe we should demand this be looked into.
To be honest, I'm a lot more upset at Frist's deer-in-the-headlights whining over getting "slapped in the face." I just cringed. It's so indicative of the smarmy, phony comity and collegiality of the Senate that Frist's feelings get oh-so-hurt because the Dem scoundrels are not being nice to the Leader.
Sheesh. Talk about slapping--how I itched to give Frist a good one.
I think you people in Nevada that put him in office, need to have a shrink exam all of you....and then the rest of you should VOTE him OUT of OFFICE...where he belongs!!!!
Yes. The reaction of Frist bothered me quite a bit also. However, from the sounds of what you wrote, I'd say it was for different reasons. My reasons; In my estimation, Frist was chosen to head up the response committee for the conservatives because he would portray how the lovely Senate is falling apart-even if they don't have a clue as to what they portrayed. And check out who the surrounding fellas were. That confirmed my initial reaction. But, why was a monkey wrench(The closed session) thrown into the works in the first place? No, I don't think it had much to do with Iraq because anybody as ruthless as Mr. Saddam, is going to get his paws on anything and everything for destroying things on a whim. My thoughts are that somebody is a pullin' the puppet strings and deliberately upsetting the Senators so as to remain in control. The puppet string-puller saw that all was straying from the original agenda, which is to maintain control.
Well, yeah, but all Frist had to do was shrug "what else can you expect of these creeps?" and refuse to rise to the bait. The secret session could have remained nearly secret, which would have spoiled the whole effort to reconfigure the agenda.
And, today, I'll bet he's not getting rid of Rule 21 because that "wouldn't be nice."
All you need to know is right here:

I of course didn't vote for him, but did you know that his campaign slogan was "Harry Reid, INDEPENDENT for Nevada" What a crock of sh*t he was feeding. Unfortunatly there are too many Californian moonbats moving here and keeping him in office.
That is the exact reason why our troubles of today are still hanging around. It's because those people that saw what baloney was being pulled, sat back and did nothing over a long period of time. That has come back to haunt us and will continually get worse and worse if it is not stopped. It has become a monstrous child. Think about it. When a child is doing something bad or wrong, do you just ignore them? Well, if you don't want that child playing out in the middle of the street where they can get run over, you reprimand them, and continue to reprimand them if they keep going out into the street for playtime, otherwise that child will get run over and perhaps lose their life. Anyway, regarding the secret session remaining secret: According to our constitution, and simply because it is called a secret, none of us should ever known about it. But it is clear that they are not following the constitution(except for taking the rule #21 plea out-of-context). And also, the puppet string-puller is quite aware of which buttons to push, so as to get a specific reaction from a Senator and/or Senators.
I also did quite a bit of research on our constitution people, and am quite certain rule #21 was never intended to create havoc. The Founding Fathers of our country went to great pains to draw up our constitution, simply because they took the thought processes far enough to forsee scenarios like we have today. Our constitution is an excellent document and we should all help to protect it.
What a shame....but it seems its like that with McCain in Arizona to....
