Do you think the Republicans would replace the Rats (move further left) after they have imploded, thus bringing a new Conservative Party on the right into the light?

I am actually quite worried about what I fear the true agenda is: to use the weakness of the Democratic Party as the moment to attack all that remains of what is good in America, on all fronts, and destroy us once and for all, as a free nation. Hillary's marching orders of using one political action to gain many reverberating actions in effect are now what we see. She needs to create the illusion of weakness of the Republicans to disguise her own party's weakness, and, thus, in attacking now, prepares a possible sweep for when her cronies buy or steal the upcoming election for her. She is absolutely the most dangerous woman for the future of this country; why people do not cry for the release of her master's thesis, which, no doubt is some kind of plan to overthrow this country or some such--else why would she take such pains to hide it?--speaks to our collective laziness where her accountability is concerned.

A conservative party born with the implosion of the fringe left still has to deal with the remnants of that left. It will not be pretty, and, may be violent.

I concur. Really, our fate is totally up to the Republican leadership now, in a lot of ways. I hope they get a better grip and build upon it. The Rats are begging to become 100% irrelevant. Good post by you.
