Watching WH briefing John Roberts Just apoligized to McClellan by sayin "I'm sorry for my unfortunate choice of words this morning". McClellan just nodded in response.
He is the Chief White House Correspondent for CBS News. The Chief Correspondent should be held to a higher standard than anyone else, don't you think? He should be fired or re-assigned.
Also don't forget the strip & body cavity search to make absotively ,posilutely cetain that he hasn't pilfered any of the flatware, various office supplies, stationary, pens etc.
My only disappointment with this is that McClellan actually responded substantively to the question this morning. A perfect time for an icy stare, cutting remark, and moving on to the next questioner.
This preppy little twerp cranked his fingers into a wringer, and is frantically trying to cover himself. I personally have long since passed the "forgive and forget" stage, having been referred to for the last 12 years as a RightWingPsychoGunWavingMurdererRedNeckIgnorentBoob. You can bet your sweet Fanny Addams that any two-bit copy boy from Fox would be savaged and his clawed remains would be in a dumpster before Sunset.

The White House probably threatened to pull his WH Press Pass if he did not apologize. In any case, Roberts proved what most of us have know all long: that he is a class-less Pretty Boy.
To the original comment, or the apology?
another Canadian, attended University of Toronto--Why are so many of these guys from Canada? Aren't there enough critical liberals here already?
Dear Dave, thanks very much for your note. I wanted to get back to your personally on this. Please be assured that while my choice of words this morning was unfortunate, in no way did I have any perjorative intent. I was simply attempting to reconcile past White House statements on Harriet Miers with the President's new nominee. The early morning White House gaggle is an informal, free-wheeling and often irreverent forum, which is not broadcast and generally not publicly available.
Obviously, my tone this morning was a little too casual.
As we all experience from time to time, it was one of those 'oops' moments which we wish we could rewind and re-record.
I apologize if you took offense to the remarks. I can assure you I meant none.
Sincerely, John Roberts Chief White House Correspondent CBS News
It is the job of the White House press secretary to stay on message and to get the administration's message out. There is nothing wrong with a press secretary exhibiting a bit of personality.
I agree, a White House correspondent should be providing objective reporting. These people should not consider themselves journalists. They break the simplest rules of their own profession.
Guess CBS has much lower standards....and besides, Roberts is "on the right (left) team".
Exqueeze me?!
Bingo, Dan. The left is cracking up...they don't know what to do now that Alito is the man.

I did email and call.
Too bad John Roberts didn't check-in with Harry Reid before he uttered his filthy words. Reid thinks he runs DC, you know.
I'm ashamed he has the same name as our nation's Chief Justice.
Oh, OK. Thanks for the information! Greggory is an obnoxious jerk! I'm glad Scott stood his ground. Can't they kick those guys out for being so rude to Scott?
The power of the conservative internet smacks the thugs of the MSM again.
One can only wonder how many emails the nail head of CBS pseudo news got, complaining about this vile import from Canada.
Hee hee! Strike another one for the Pajamahadeen!
