If Ried doesn't like him then there is a good chance he will be a good supreme.

Reid's disappointed. That's good enough for me.
To: Hadean
Well, Reid, you're not in the majority, the president is from a different party, and we really don't give a damn whether or not you like it.

Reid has got to be kidding! Judicial activists?
He needs to look at the 9th circuit court and tell me again what he considers to be a judicial activist!
To: Hadean
Let's see. Reid prefers Miers? I think Alito is an improvement.

Who is Harry Reid?
Is he the Majority leader or something?
Why does it matter what this person says?

Too bad.
I guess we can assume, then, that he won't be taking credit for the idea of appointing Alito.

Senator Leahy and I wrote to President Bush urging him to work with us to find a consensus nominee. The President has rejected that approach.
I once sent a letter to Santa Claus, and I didn't get what I wanted either....sigh

First, unlike previous nominations, this one was not the product of consultation with Senate Democrats. Last Friday, Senator Leahy and I wrote to President Bush urging him to work with us to find a consensus nominee. The President has rejected that approach. Ummmm...remember the part where you didn't win the election? This is kinda where that whole thing comes into play...;)
