I should like to ask George Bush what he saw in Miers that he didn't see in Alito. This guy seems triple qualified from what I have read so far. Miers was a nobody. Just confirms the charges of crony ism directed at the president

Alito seems an excellent choice.

There is no mystery. When you try to placate the RINOS, you get a stealth candidate like Miers. Since that didn't work, President Bush is going with someone who is very up front with his philosophy and has a paper trail. The RINOS will now have no cover.

The Senate, a spineless Senate the president couldn't rely on. The Dem's will go after this pick like its Armageddon and the weak kneed Republican Senators better be ready and willing to fight.

By the way, Rush should be fun today. I never miss his show. :)
