I should like to ask George Bush what he saw in Miers that he didn't see in Alito. This guy seems triple qualified from what I have read so far. Miers was a nobody. Just confirms the charges of crony ism directed at the president

How so? There is "crony-ism" and then there is choosing someone sure to be trusted that's what Ms. Miers was. Alito seems an excellent choice.
