I said all along you pick the best qualified person regardless of gender. Before Gingsberg we had one woman on the SCOTUS -- unfortunately we still have Gingsberg. If the Senate hadn't stalled Owens and Brown for so long, one of them probably would have been the pick but they are too knew to the Federal Court system. One of those for Gingsberg or one of the others would work.

The arguement all along should have been the most qualified "person" for the Court. I am tired of the quota system -- never has worked and promotes people who should not be promoted.

Your comments seem to infer you don't like this pick. Why?

I would have preferred someone other than a "government" lawyer/judge but I am sure he could have made a worse pick. I'm just disappointed he couldn't find a qualified woman. But the fact that Harry Reid isn't happy is a good thing.
