I have a $10 bet with someone here -- all I have to do is find out who that Freeper was -- he was convinced that Bush would nominate a moderate or liberal and offered anyone $10.
I love this pick -- do you think we are going to get dissenters on here now -- if we do, we sure know which way they lean -- LEFT!

That was a bad bet for him to make. Hope you get your $10. Alito is sure no moderate. 8)

I wonder if the Canadian immigration website is going to get flooded with requests again. Libs always threaten to leave when something doesn't go their way, but then they always stay! What does a conservative have to do to get them to ACTULLY LEAVE the country??? 8)

LOL....... It certainly will be interesting to see how the Senate aligns on this nominee. I think he was confirmed by a 99-0 vote for the 3rd Circuit when the democrats had control of the Senate if I'm not wrong. The democrats will make a lot of verbal noise but we'll have to see how they finally come down on a vote.
It will also be interesting to see how some of the more liberal GOP senators come down, such as those from Maine, etc. I think Specter in the end will support him fairly strongly based upon him being a 3rd circuit judge and his remarks early today. With some 300 opinions and some 3,000+ decisions he has a large paper trail to examine so that shouldn't be an issue.
