Enough with the jokes.

The Freeper in the picture made a fool of himself. Only in the increasingly insular FR community, could he get away with such a stunt without being mercilessly abused.

There is no evidence that Valerie Plame was anything but a victim here. Even if you hate her husband, she was never "fair game."

Poor little Victim Valerie. On the cover of Vanity Fair with her oily husband (whom she personally recommended for that phony assignment that has since brought him fame and fortune). Gimme a break.

No evidence, definitely not, but surely the source of Mr Wilson's knowledge regarding the fake Niger documents should be investigated. And Mrs Wilson would make it quite high on the list of possible candidates.

Strange that MSM hasn't even broached that question. /sarcasm

Just a note to remind you that papa Bush was the CIA director and his son is no fool in that department. Maybe you know that it is impossible to fire a bad teacher. Multiply that by ten and you have the degree of difficulty of firing civil service employees. Fortunately, Porter Goss made some mad enough to quit.

The most shocking failure of the government has been the failure of the CIA to catch al Quaeda and know Iraq's capabilities. Much more serious, imho, than Abu Gharib.

Some would say, that not only is she NOT a victim...but, a very willing instigator in this plan to bring unjust criticism to the WH. She is, afterall, the one that suggested her unqualified, partisan hack of a husband for his Niger mission. Seems to me like that just about makes her "fair game."

Occam's razor says that not only is she not a victim, but is likely the prime mover of the whole affair, using her dumbass husband like the fool he is.

re: "fair game"

Joe Wilson made his wife part of the story the moment he began spouting off to the press. Why? Because, as the Senate Intel Committee's report affirmed (against Joe Wilson's lies), she played an instrumental role in suggesting him for the Niger mission and then arranging the meeting which launched his mission. When trying to understand the grand implausibility of this whole story, of how a Bush-hating, Gore and Kerry loving nitwit like Joe Wilson had ever been put into such a sensitive 'mission' in the first place (which has appeared more and more like a set-up by current and former CIA people determined to war with the WH) Valerie Pflame plays a central role. "Fair game" can connote different things to different people - a milder interpretation is that she is fair game for journalists to try to write about her, given that she played a critical role in putting this whole sordid story in motion. A harsher view would be that she should be subject to harsh criticism and political attacks, which is also justifiable given that she is part of a cabal working to subvert the elected government of the United States. However, given that all of the public-record statements are from her pompous blowhard of a husband, he should be the main focus of attention. Still, it will always be relevant to ask "what did Valerie know and do, and when did she know it and do it?"

By whom, pray tell? By those who consider themselves in the "same league" as the manipulative wife?
She placed herself (by all accounts) in the middle of the future mudfight.

Enough with the jokes.

Who died and made you Jim Robinson?

You insult someone you do not know, more than once. You clearly have no idea what the circumstances were when that photo was taken. What do you have against "Karl?"

You seem to have a mighty high opinion of yourself.

That is very naiive. Does the word nepotism mean anything to you? The fact that it was his wife that authorized this trip shoudl indicate that there was no valid foreign intelligence reason for it. No, it was purely intended to allow Joseph Wilson to write a guest editorial in the New York Times claiming that there was no Iraqi purchase of of yellow cake uranium, and that he "didn't know nothin' 'bout birthin' no babies." The whole trip and editorial had nothing to do with intelligence and everything to do with domestic partisan politics.
