If I were Fitz, and this is all I could come up with, I would be too embarrassed to actually try to take this mess to trial.
Prosecutors have discretion. He should have utilized his, packed his bags, and gone home.
I guess I don't get it. I do not see why anyone for any reason ever has a pass to lie under oath. Period. Our judicial system depends on that oath. Without it it's just a matter of the best liar with the most powerful support winning.
That said, maybe he is not guilty. I hope that's the case.
