Unintended consequence - WH shuts door on converstations with reporters

P.S. Libby could have learned Plame function/ID from Cheney -AND- from reporters

Will be interesting to see his defense play out. I'm surprised at the perjury count.

Now is a good time

No, it's to soon. The plan is to promote Condi after the half way mark. XXII Section 1 in our Constitution.

Yes, but when you go before a grand jury you are required by law to tell the truth. I am not saying the charges are true or false. I'm just saying that if true, they are legit.

Its really hard for me to read anything on MSNBC. Chrissy is such a hard-core liberal that he would throw his children under a bus if he thought it would help the president be impeached.

Yes it is. But they didn't get him with the original crime the prosecutor was mandated to investigate. They need a sacrificial lamb. They didn't get Rove but they got Libby. That has far as the MSM is concerned, is the beginning of the end of the Bush Era.

If Scooter Libby did tell the grand jury and the FBI that he learned about Valerie Plame from Tim Russert, and there is proof he lied, he should be indicted. He then lied.

Karl Rove appears to have broken no law. Libby didn't. He should be thrown aside. I have no sympathy for people who lie to the FBI and a grand jury.

Libby has no one to blame but himself. All he had to do was tell the truth.

Does anyone think since Libby was NOT indicted for the "outing" of Plame, then Fitzgerald's "continuing investigation" of Rove

Don't be silly - there's no there there ... if there was anything this guy would have dropped it now - do you really think he wants to appear this foolish to all the DUmmies and their presstitutes after all the claims 22 high ranking white house associates were going down today?

Absolutely we cannot be hippocritical on this. In fact if I was some speech writer or media contact person I would point that very fact out.

I think he meant underlying crime.

I seem to recall that the courts some time ago ruled on something like this...that if there was no underlying crime, can there be charges related to a 'cover up.'

I'm not sure.

We have a great administration in the Whitehouse right now

I am concerned not about politics, but the language, borders and culture of this union...

I could give a rats rump about Bush, Cheney cabal etal...

Close the borders and then I would agree with you...time to get concerned not about politics, but the union...

The DUmmies, liberals, and the defeated liberal media, wanted a big car (Rove) and all what they got is a matchbox car (Libby) and on charges not related to the leak itself.

This is their worst crushing defeat since the 2004 elections.

I know. And I don't like this. But if guilty, then he reaps what he sowed. I thought we all went through this with the Clinton charges.

IS it remotely possible that they have the ability to tell the truth?

Now that an indictment was secured Mr. Fitxgerald can publicly justify his 20 month witch hunt. This is a joke. All of washington is a circus. Washington is populated by people with less integrity than snake oil salesmen. This is disgusting.
