Here is aan e-mail that I just received:
Genvieve Peters (no relation), who I recruited for the LA bus tour team, is certifiably insane and brings new meaning to the phrase "earned media". Forget about the baloney delivery stunt, this one clearly takes the cake. When David Pegos tried to stage a counter protest today at the Latino union rally with Nunez and Villaraigosa in Downtown LA I put him in touch with Genvieve. She showed up in her red Arnold t-shirt with her signs ALL ALONE. Instead of going home (which I would have told her to do if the lunatic had called me), she quietly made her way into the middle of the crowd and positioned herself in front of the podium.
When Villarogosa finished speaking, she spun around and waived her "YES on 74-77" signs for the cameras. The media converged on her. The union thugs converged on her.
As the media asked her why she was there, the thugs started hitting her over the head with their "no" signs, tearing up her signs and pouring water on her as she loudly proclaimed to the cameras that she was there because she used to be a teacher in an ESL class and she knows that the children of all these wonderful hardworking people deserve a better education and their unions are lying to them!!!
The media ate it up. She was interviewed by Channels 2 & 9 as well as by the Spanish media. The thugs kept complaining that she was stealing their news coverage. Luckily one very kind (and quite large) union member escorted her to her car - all the while flashing gang signs at his fellow union members warning them to back off. Thank God she's home safe and sound. I'm buying her dinner (right after I stop screaming at her for taking her life in her hands)!

Are you sure that's a guy?
Not sure who the "yelling person" is in the
GOPatUCR photo...
...but the person in the "SECURITY" vest
(in the CENTER of this TV image below)...
...who tore up Genevieve's sign was a WOMAN.
BTW, I understand that Genevieve has been approached by an attorney who would like to represent her...

I just got an email of this from the Arnold team. They need to put it in a commercial.
The footage of the "security" guard tearing up Genevieve's sign is precious.

Think the days of union boss thuggery are gone??
Take a look at this stunning news footage from KCAL 9 in LA that shows an Arnold supporter being assaulted by union goons.
Resorting to violence to silence free speech. Theyre getting desperate. And scary. http://mediadrool.com/movies-md/Genevieve.wmv

Political Teen:
Two Los Angeles television stations caught on tape a hyped up mob of union activists intimidating and roughing up a woman who had the courage to speak out in favor of the four reform initiatives.
Whipping the crowd into a frenzy was none other than Speaker Fabian Nunez, who was a featured speaker at the rally in Pershing Square. At the very least, Nunez a former union organizer himself has a duty to issue a public apology to this woman on behalf the union bosses who control him. That is, unless the Speaker believes that violence and thuggery are acceptable forms of public expression.
You know its funny, when I see all of those anti-Prop 75 ads, I see nice clean cut firemen and teachers. But when I look at the Prop 75 rallies I see bellicose, rude, violent, stick wielding public service workers. Hmmmm.
See the video here, and here.

Pro-Arnie Wingnut Ruins Peaceful Union Rally by

Some of you may have seen an Arnold supporter who just "happened" to find herself in the midst of a union rally.
After instigating the SEIU crowd, she ranted for the cameras in an obvious set up. Check out the film for yourself (.wmv file)
I don't come down to the pro-Arnold rallies and place myself at the corner of Arnold's stage and expect to be offered milk-and-cookies, do I? Our protesters have the respect to keep their distance and not plant themselves in the middle of the opposition to put on a show for the news camera. Has the right no respect? (don't answer that)
How do we know she is a right wing operative? Check out the flip.
She is a FReeper who likes to cavort around with Ann Coulter
It's the same two Marines on the same night with two different women. I wonder what they have in common? Perhaps a similar detachment from reality?
Her name is Genevieve Peters and she's been up to this before. I wonder what she thinks of Democrats:
The 41-year-old teacher and Beverly Hills resident founded L.A. for Bush ... Democrats, she explained, "stand for hate and for vengeance and a globalization that has no strength or character or anything that's for America. America, from the beginning of time, had an identity and culture. And they're trying to decimate our identity and culture . . . to some melting pot like Europe."
She added, "Democrats have gone in and said, `We're just all one. Every culture has a place here.' No! We're an American culture."
Is that the same Europe that gave us your beloved Arnold?

Well, Nolan, those Marine have at least THREE things in common:
- They just got back from serving Iraq.
- They both recently watched ANN COULTER taping a TV show, and
- They both have EXCELLENT taste in women!
Of course, none of this was a "secret," as those images were taken from this MONSTER thread, where Ann (and Genevieve) posed with a LOT of people:

But wait, there are MORE! Unless indicated otherwise, ALL of the following images (except the LAST one -- of that guy in the goofy ORANGE tie) are also courtesy of David Forbes.

Hold the presses!
HOT NEWS TIP, from the Daily Kos!
"Arnold supporter" (Genevieve Peters) also supports President Bush!Although, I guess that it COULD be news among the "Arnold is a RINO" crowd around here. :o)
Nolan's link goes to
Zealots on Parade: Bush backers stare down their nemesis in Santa Monica , from the LA Weekly.
For a more "fair and balanced" report on that event, see THIS thread:

HUNDREDS rally near Santa Monica airport to support President Bush new PHOTOS!-- snip --
Last Thursday afternoon, HUNDREDS of happy, smiling, flag-waving patriotic Americans gathered outside a "private, secret" fundraiser at the Santa Monica airport to welcome President Bush back to Los Angeles, for his first visit to southern California since March 2004. Two very highly repected sources independently calculated that over FIFTEEN HUNDRED people overwhelmed the intersection of 31st Street and Ocean Park Boulevard in Santa Monica, just north of the hanger in which President Bush, Laura Bush and Governor Schwarzenegger appeared at a private fundraiser which had not been widely publicized until a few days before the event --
with the crowd outside roughly divided into half pro-Bush and half anti-Bush.
On a Thursday afternoon.

While it is true that MOST of the FReepers would enjoy cavorting with Ann Coulter...
...at least prior to the Miers debacle...
...strictly speaking, Genevieve is NOT a FReeper, as she does not post on this forum, IIRC.
Like TED HAYES, however, Genevieve Peters is an "honorary" FReeper......who does share our PHILOSOPHY, our POLITICAL OUTLOOK, and our INTENSITY. :o)

Hey, I thought the
Weekly story was pretty good, actually.
Betcha never thought you would get your name in that paper, eh? And they realized their side didn't look very cool compared to ours. It certainly pointed out the well known fact that the lefties oppose everyone but haven't figure out who to support.
Nice job!

Dear lakey,
Either you are very misinformed about Arnold's aborted move to reform public pensions, or you are trying to mislead people. The pension reform initiative would have simply converted defined benefit pensions into defined contribution pensions, like a 401k plan.
The fact is, under the current system, the State CAN raid the pensions whenever it wants to, because the money in the pension funds DOES NOT belong to state employees, or to pensioners, but to the Pension Boards, which are creatures controlled by the State.
Actually, if Arnold's plan were enacted your pension would be much safer, because the money invested would belong to YOU, the worker, and be kept in YOUR OWN account, not in a huge pool of money under the control of a board appointed by the politicians.
Also, remember that the laws governing the pensions were created by the Legislature, which could at any time amend the law, and put the pension money under THEIR direct control.
You should fervently pray that Arnold's pension reform DOES get enacted. The only reason it was pulled from signature-gathering last Spring is because the author, Assemblyman Keith Richman, did not provide any protection for disability and survivor benefit plans for police and firemen, so their unions stirred up a lot of negative publicity, mostly with lies about the Governor planning to starve their widows and orphans by cutting off their their pension checks.
The fact is, such plans could easily be covered by insurance programs, paid out of profits from the private accounts.
For a good idea of how beneficial private accounts would be, go to my brilliant friend Dick McDonald's website for his New Social Security Institute:
