I just don't understand how a lawyer like Libby, while being advised by other top lawyers, could have made a dumb mistake like this. It's really hard to believe that he got himself indicted for false GJ testimony. I'm amazed by this if it's true.
Normally one would review one's notes before he/she turned them over. Especially on such a major issue in this inquiry.
Maybe he just really did forget. Good God, how many people remember a conversation of several years ago. Think of how many conversations the Vice President's Chief of Staff has day in and day out.
