He's opened the door now for so much information to be brought out that wouldn't have, otherwise.

Fitzy made the mistake of letting his yapper run on autopilot for an hour. There is piles of evidence of just what he intends to do with this investigation out in the open now. It's like the quarterback yelling from the huddle what play he wants to run next.

The code of ethics for federal prosecutors, which addresses press conferences, limits them to reviewing the charges in the indictment-period.
They are not allowed to discuss the specific evidence so that the potential jury pool is not tainted.
Fitzgerald went way over the line.

I'd start by subpoenaing senior CIA officials and retired officials. (Some of them retired soon after this incident started to break.)

I'd subpoena Wilson and Plame next, then Russert, Cooper and Miller.

For starters.
