Rove will not be indicted today according to Carl Cameron, Fox News.
I just heard ... what exactly does give direction mean
Statement due shortly from Rove's attorney
"For the time being", as per the media wing of the DNC (read: Associated Press). That implies that the MSM wants Rove to be indicted.
This is great news. I'll take any positive tidbits right now.
I heard that Fitz "may keep him under investigation". What a crock. Maybe if they dig deep enough they will find a parking ticket not paid or something.
If all Fitz has against Rove is a weak perjury case, GWB should just pardon Karl and get the whole thing over with.
We are, after all, at war. The president needs his most trusted advisor.
After this he was more and on the flat side. Always, however, very organized, methodical and factual. He is basically a "head" type who is likely to pursue a cause or person on an intellectual rather than an emotional basis.
If I were charged with any crime by this man I would tell my attorney just two words--"plea bargain."
That said the real weakness of this case against Libby rests on whether the government had a real interest in keeping her classified, secret or actually did believe she was classified or secret. IMHO Libby's attorneys will have ample evidence and findings that others knew her position was not secret nor "classified" in the sense that the government believed, had or wanted such a state.
Very impressive guy. Will hold better jobs in the future if he is not interested in $.
Its obvious a guy who has been conducting a 2 year investigation doesn't know how to rap up a 20-minute press conference. Heck even the cameramen are now asking questions.
