Sandy Berger made a deal so not to go to trial.
Libby could do the same.
What he did was wrong if reports are true that he lied to the GJ, and I am not going to spin it -- you don't lie to a GJ no matter the reason. I went after the Clintons hard and I am not giving Libby a pass because he works for Cheney.
Libby did this to himself by talking to Cooper in the first place. Why leak -- why not just come out and call Wilson a liar?

What I don't get is why Hillary got a pass. Berger got a pass.
Okay, Berger made a deal. Maybe Libby could too.
But when Berger was indicted, did we hear much from the press? I don't think CNN even reported it.
But we don't know if he lied or not. That is the accusation. It has to be proven. I do agree that nobody in the White House should talk to the lying press. If they wanted to dispute Wilson, then have a press conference. All this leaking to reporters is so stupid, anyway.
