Perhaps they should have left as you say. They did not and now is the exact WRONG time to leave. Also, perhaps they did not leave because they had no REASON to leave.

FOX now reporting that the indictment is being delivered right now for "making false statements".
I just can't get over how totally pett this looks.

"Rove provided new information to Fitzgerald during eleventh-hour negotiations that 'gave Fitzgerald pause' about charging Bush's senior strategist"...
I wonder if Rove provided more documentation about his conversations with reporters. I sure hope he didn't rat on Libby on anyone else in the admin.

"Rove provided new information to Fitzgerald during eleventh-hour negotiations that "gave Fitzgerald pause" about charging Bush's senior strategist, said a source close to Rove. "The prosecutor has to resolve those issues before he decides what to do." That's interesting .. what is up with that?

yes, but we also must acknowledge that it cripples their ability to defend themselves - especially in a GJ process, which is highly tilted towards the prosecutor to begin with.

Do I gather from this that we have finally solved the mystery of whether or not Valerie Plame was REALLY a COVERT CIA agent and the answer to the question now is LEGALLY --- YES SHE WAS ?
The answer to this question is FUNDAMENTAL to this investigation. If no, then we have a strange case of an indictment for perjury where NO CRIME OCCURED.
So just one simple question folks -- WAS PLAME OFFICIALLY COVERT OR NOT ? A SIMPLE YES OR NO and a SHORT EXPLANATION as to why would be appreciated.

Thanks for the opportunity to comment on how annoying she is. It drives me nuts to hear her do an interview. Plus, I have had to send a few e-mails to her and Fox News about how she gets things wrong and is uninformed.
To: calreaganfan
I find it very hard to believe he would.
But- it is Washington, D.C. after all..

well, I'll give you that - the timing now for Rove would not be right. so he's stuck. if this GJ is extended, how many more times will he be brought in for questioning?
To: Howlin
You know, Howlin, all of that Clinton data just breaks my heart in that it was all reduced to a lie about an affair...and hey, who couldn't understand lying about an affair. Here is appears we have a 2+ year investigation that turns up a lie about nothing material to any crime and it will be broadcast and labeled as evidence of all the lies that took us to war.

You can be condescending if you choose, however I haven't been engaging in personal attacks. Perhaps a refresher of the rules of the forum is called for in your case.
In the meantime, you are offering little to the discussion of the thread.

A preview of Fitzgerald at his press conference ...
"Marry, sir, they have committed false report; moreover, they have spoken untruths; secondarily, they are slanders; sixth and lastly, they have belied a lady; thirdly, they have verified unjust things; and, to conclude, they are lying knaves."
