LOL! I've always worried about Matlin, but have never had any of my worries confirmed. I just can't imagine how she keeps stuff from serpenthead.

This is one time I wish the CIA probe would be made public and the likes of the rogue people trying to undermine the President outed.

Will never happen, because national security mandates it not be made public.

The only way the scoundrels can have light shown on them is by someone outing them and then taking the fall for it... as in (possibly) Scooter Libby.

It is no wonder that the commie 'Rats went for control of our intelligence apparatus, precisely because their schemes can be kept under wrap, in the guise of national security.

AND I am waiting to hear his side.

I just wish he'd have hired a criminal defense attorney long ago..
That he didn't was foolish.

He needs a lawyer who is media saavy.

Like Barry Richard and David Boies.

Or Victoria and Joe.

Sorry , but so far the charges are very weak and quite frankly appear "motivated" This great prosecutor who can't give information at press conference did everything BUT indict Libby for outing a Covert CIA. He accused him he came within an inch of saying so but did not indict on that. And lets just wait to hear the details of the OoJ and perjury. Dollars to donuts will not stick. Sorry this as it appears is just BS from another Democrat in the system. Joe Wilson though NOT indicted is a lier and only escaped charges and investigation because the CIA curiously did not have him sign a confidentiality agreement. Yes very curious. Pick a side my FRiend because there are 2 Americas.

He should have gotten the advice of one, and for all we know, he did.

But he should not have hired one before he was indicted; makes him look guilty, IMO.

Sounds like Libby isn't going to cop a deal but will fight the charges.

Question for someone in the legal profession:

If you were hauled before a grand jury, you wouldn't hire an attorney? I thought that was the first thing a person should do.

Do you EVER add anything of relevance or intelligence to ANY thread you're on?

This is all so strange.

He didn't have a criminal defense attorney, he repeatedly tells the same story to the GJ knowing they have his notes that say something else, he releases all the reporters to testify knowing the above.....this does not add up to a guy who thinks he did something wrong, especially a guy who is suppose to know the law.

Off topic, but important.

Iranian President Ahmadinejad Responds, 'And The Horse You Rode In On'

As our press and the left engage in mutual masturbation about Plame, Wilson, Libby and their hopes it will still somehow bring down Bush.....real world threats strengthen and become louder. But all we'll hear is :

You are welcome. One more thought based on what Joe Degenova said, The MSM is toast as far as getting any leaks except for maybe some of the Clinton holdovers and I am sure Porter Goss and Gonzalez and Cheney,Bush etc know who are the holdovers that cannot be trusted. If I were the Top People in this administration I would leak only to Brit Hume,Tony Snow,Bill Sammon,Fred Barnes(provided he does not talk to the Bill Kristol)and reporters that are trustworthy and deserve a good story. After they get the leak and break the story the MSM will pick up on it,but have to get all their info from the good guys. Gee, this is sounding better all the time. The MSM coming up a dry and empty as Janet Reno's kisser, I like that. They will go bonkers.

Looks like we MAY know who the original Novak source is.....found this on a blog...

And, per the summary (p. 5), it will be a bit harder for Joe Wilson and his many defenders to sustain the notion that his wife was not involved with selecting him for this trip:

...on or about June 11, 2003, Libby was informed by a senior officer of the CIA that Wilson’s wife was employed by the CIA and was believed to be responsible for sending Wilson on the trip.

IIRC, it appears that Libby told Ari Fleischer about Ms. Plame on July 7, which is the day that phone logs show Novak calling Ari. Surely that adds to the possibility that Ari was Novak's first source.

Hmmmmmm.

I knew they couldn't go in with you, but I'd hire one, I think. I'm so glad Libby isn't going to cop a deal. Full blown trial and hope he calls the Wilson's. Let's air all the dirty linen.

I thought Novak has said his source "wasn't anybody in the WH".

Well here's a shocker, the AP story even has this quote:

"what caused Clinton's impeachment "wasn't that he had an affair with Monica Lewinsky but he lied about it."

That's a wake up call, that link.

This is what happened with Clinton too. Not that he would have responded to real threats anyway, but it certainly was a distraction for the FBI, as Louie Freeh alluded to.
