Did I read that Corn had published Plame's name before any of this happened? I'd love to have a link to that if it is true.

My reply to a previous post was adding to a discussion of "twisted logic". It wasn't a statement of something I believe - but rather something we are hearing now - from Fitz. Fitz said that who sent Wilson on the trip in the first place is "irrelevant".

I was right about this guy...he THINKS something was done that was wrong, but he DOESN'T have a law that lets him prosecute anyone...he wants to keep "investigating" so he can keep trying to come up with some way to prosecute Rove and Libby for the actual "leak." I'm guessing he went back to the GJ this morning with the info the FBI got this week from Wilson's neighbors, but it wasn't enough to convince the GJ that Plame was indeed "covert" under the law.
I think he also believes that Libby deliberately made up a "cover story" that he simply told reporters what other reporters told him, in order to evade prosecution for the actual leak. He couldn't prove that to the GJ either. All he could prove was that Libby said one thing and Russert and Cooper said something else. That's enough to get an indictment, but I'm not sure it is enough to get a conviction.

I'll be interested to see if Libby takes this to trial or pleads out. Wilson has to be worried he'll take it to court.
BTW, there was an Alert on FNC around noon that Wilson's attorney was going to have a news conference at 3:00 (obviously postponed because of this presser).

He's defending his decision to push for this case.
If there was a clear cut need for this case he wouldn't have to field questions from reporters for an hour.

And within this context nothing about Plame, Wilson, Niger, etc matters at all. Libby's a$$ is grass.

well yes, given the makeup of that grand jury - I am sure they were star struck when Russert walked in there.

Will this press conference end before the actual trial is over?
He has gone on for over an hour... keep him talking imho, the more the better, and you can bet your bottom $$ that the Grand Jury will be bought and will TALK. LEAKGATE WILL GO ON WITH LIES AND LEAKS FROM NOW ON. MSM is never going to give up.
