Although you and I are not lawyers, I believe that we could successfully defend Libby and sue Fitzgerald later for defamation of character and loss of wages...plus anything else we think of.
It was reported upthread; how true it is, I don't know. But it's been pretty widely reported his attorney wasn't a criminal attorney.
This is guy is entirely unimpressive. His platitudes, though admirable, mean nothing given what he's chosen to ignore about this case. We are a country at war with a man running around the world on what should have been a classified mission going to the press? And Plame was endangered?

It's still not clear to me. I can't figure out if Libby is being indicted for his lies to the press. That is not a crime and it doesn't even mislead the investigation, since the lies were to have occurred before the GJ was empaneled. If he did lie in front of the GJ, I want to see the untrue sentence he uttered.
