Per Fox News...
I read somewhere that this guy was cooking lasagna once and forgot about it and the oven and gas for three months. When he realized he had done that he had the gas shut off so it wouldn't happen again.
This indictment is full of flaws and will be tossed by any common sense Federal Judge.
Did he just make a case for the reporters to be believable???
I should have used the word impeached.
I replied on another board and used impeached, I just wrote it wrong here.
He was charged with additional charges, but was impeached on the two I listed.
It seems natural that he would leave a lasagna in the oven for months.
Post here often, do you?
"I can explain the entire case with a baseball analogy: man on first isn't a basestealing risk, pitcher's curveball isn't working today, the grass is Kentucky blue, paid attendance is 13,543, the umpire has been married for 24 years, the team at bat doesn't have pinstripe uniforms, the infield is playing in, beer sales end in the seventh inning, the wind is blowing out toward left field, the infield-fly rule is very confusing, I miss Harry Caray, tomorrow's game is sold out, Ed Ott was one helluva good catcher, two balls and one strike, tough-actin' Tinactin, Jacob's Field is a great venue, Steinbrenner's an ass, shortstop has a bad ankle, if you hit the bull in center field you get a free steak, you can get sushi right here in the ballpark."
I think that should clear things up.
Also, all freepers who thought this guy was going to indict or even investigate Wilson - please wake up now!
Once Libby was "invited" to testify before the grand jury, he should have hired a criminal lawyer, imo. Not a property attorney.
I am trying to follow this press conference - really, really hard. I can not follow most of what Fitz is saying. He is all over the place.
This is terribly confusing....if he wasn't done investigating, then why charge Libby now? I'm just befuddled.
The whole deal should come out on Wilson and blow this out of the water. Time to quit playing nice and go on the offensive.
Anybody else salivating about seeing Tim Russert and Judith Miller, and maybe Novak on the witness stand for this trial?
Indeed! Wonder if Fitzgerald is concerned with the breach of national security involved in having Plame working at the CIA?
He did lay out the parameters of the presser to be only specific to the "talking points" he wants to blurt out.
dude is talking in circles - he is not making sense.
After this he was more and on the flat side. Always, however, very organized, methodical and factual. He is basically a "head" type who is likely to pursue a cause or person on an intellectual rather than an emotional basis.
If I were charged with any crime by this man I would tell my attorney just two words--"plea bargain."
That said the real weakness of this case against Libby rests on whether the government had a real interest in keeping her classified, secret or actually did believe she was classified or secret. IMHO Libby's attorneys will have ample evidence and findings that others knew her position was not secret nor "classified" in the sense that the government believed, had or wanted such a state.
Very impressive guy. Will hold better jobs in the future if he is not interested in $.
I dont think Scooter has anything to worry about...once he gets a good lawyer, he wont be convicted...especially when they get the press members on the stand.
