You have to go on the offensive with these lowlifes -- playing nice doesn't cut it IMO.

I just read the charges and it sounds like Libby did not want to become the confirming source for these reporters because he already knew Plame worked at the CIA-he would have walked right into the trap of outing a CIA agent. The thing I'm not understanding is what is the evidence with the conversations with Russert and Cooper? Are those conversations on tape or are there emails?
To: GraniteStateConservative
To clarify, none of the charges thus far sounds like Libby intentionally lied or covered up anything. All easily excusable to bad memory... particularly if Plame's CIA employment were common knowledge among journalists & politicans.

Now Kennedy, of all people, is passing judgement.

You have just made my morning!
According to MSM, Bush Administration people should not have freedom of speech guarantees to criticize their critics.
They should just sit back and allow the Moores, Sheehans and Wilsons of this world to make vile despicable charges against them without comment.
To: Peach
Really? How interesting.
I think Novak owned that CNN show, Capitol Gang.

Pick your reporters you talk to wisely -- NY Times Cooper was not a wise move IMHO.

I like this former CIA guy asking if anyone outed Valerie.

Damn. Kennedy too. What colossal arrogance.
POTUS needs to name his nominee. Today.

Which it essentially is since there will be a new grand jury empaneled.Which I think this presser by Fitzy will essentially do. He'll come out and hit the reset button on this investigation.

Ed Rollins says WH can't go on the attack. Has to play nicey nicey because Fitz is "one of ours"
Makes me puke. Repubs always play nice and get kicked in the teeth.

Nepolitano -- they would show up at DC functions and Wilson would introduce his wife as my CIA agent wife... BEFORE Novak's column.

IF it's the case that Fitz is claiming that Libby lied to Matt Cooper and those lies derailed the investigation, but that Libby told the truth to the GJ, then Fitz should be strung up.
Huge "if" though. Huge "if".

Fitz is not "one of ours" - no chance in hell on that.
To: PhiKapMom
The litany of his purported lies which Megan gave on foxnews moments ago is a head scratcher. He lied to GJ saying he heard it from Russert. Then lied to GJ saying he learned it from Cooper. Both gents testified they learned it from him. Why would he implicate himself in this way knowing they would refute it?
To: Mo1
Hard to believe Russert didn't know about Plame, what with him being so smart and having a TV show and all. /sarc
