The problem with all of this is, if you don't remember 100%, you can't say so or the GJ will have you testifying every day. So you say to the best of your recollection and if it's inaccurate and the SP needs to justify his income, then you're toast.

Just remember that the worst possible characterization of this will be issued by Fitz at 2pm. It only gets weaker from there. If reports are correct, the indictment is because Libby's account differs from Cooper's notes. Cooper's wife is a Hillary operative. Not good for the Dems if Libby fights.

My guess is that Fitz will make Libby out to be a murdiddlyurdler and then offer him 5 hours of community service.

I genuinely feel sorry for Libby in this. He got screwed by this truly stupid investigation. Further evidence that Washington D.C. is a shark tank.

Is it possible he heard it form both places?

If the reporters were telling him, he could pass along the fact that he heard it form them.

If he learned it form Cheney from classified info, he could repeat that fact to reporters.

I guess it will all depend on dates, and if there's evidence that the reporters were saying her name...

Exactly- and further- this morning Bob Baer (former CIA COVERT) said a democrat outed him back in 97- when he complained to the CIA- he was told- happens all the time- nothing can be done.

You probably should not make such pronouncements based upon what little you know so far.

Don't forget - not everyone charged has to be charged by indictment.

Fitz having to prove that Libby knowingly committed perjury is going to be an uphill battle.

Don't you bet, though...that the dems and Chrissy Matthews will scream bloody murder if Libby doesn't actually go to trial...

but, they didn't seem a bit upset that Sandy Burglar did not!

That's because republicans are SO WAY too nice. The pres really needs to get angry now and kick some criminal butt. Starting with hillary. and then Burglar.

Sorry:
"If he learned it form Cheney from classified info, he could repeat that fact to reporters."

If he learned it form Cheney from classified info, he could *NOT* repeat that fact to reporters.

that is why the Dems hatched this setup through the CIA - the "classified" and "covert" nature of those operatives blocks any ability to easily get at the truth - once you try and pry back the lid, you are instantly guilty of "outing CIA agents". so no investigation can ever uncover the truth, and in fact the truth seekers themselves face indictment and jail time.

Fitzgerald is overzealous. It's shocking that he indicted Libby for lying to Russert, Miller and Cooper. What a load of crap this all is.

Foxnews also confirming that Fitz was going to indict Rove but when his attorney spoke to him earlier in the week and revealed additional information, Fitz decided to take a wait and see attitude. What Bill Hammer read from was not clear but it will resonate loudly.

Judge Napolitano said what Cheney/Libby discussed has no bearing on this case. It's when Libby went to the GJ and did not reveal that fact that it became an obstruction of justice charge.

Well he's just parroting the Fitz line there. If what they discussed has no bearing, then the fact that Libby didn't reveal what they discussed has no bearing either, legally.

That charge WILL get tossed out on its ear.

And what you are saying is that even before hearing from Libby, he's guilty.
