Yo, dipwad, how can you have a trial about lying when you don't talk about what you're suppose to be lying about?

He was lying about who told him or who he told. Not anything related to what Wilson said or did. What you're saying is if I rob a drug dealer I didnt commit a crime because the source of what I stole was tainted.

Lugsoul - we've been over and over this matter.

#1. Aldrich Ames outted her in the 90's.

#2. Andrea Mitchell said on national television that everyone knew she was CIA and used to be covert.

#3. How covert is it when the husband returns home and writes an op ed piece about his trip?

These people were not low profile. And I've also read/heard it explained that she hadn't been overseas and covert for over five years -- since the twins were born -- but that the CIA hadn't officially taken her off the list. A bureaucratic snafu.

Do you honestly believe she was covert after being OUTTED by Ames????????

It's so muddled that Fox needs time to make sense of it.

Judge Napolitano said what Cheney/Libby discussed has no bearing on this case. It's when Libby went to the GJ and did not reveal that fact that it became an obstruction of justice charge. Five felonies are quite significant and we can't paint it otherwise. However let's remember that he hasn't had his day in court yet.

Huh? So why wasn't anyone charged with the original "crime"?

"He will not be pardoned by this administration."

If he is convicted, which is still a stretch, then he will be pardoned...it may take until Jan 2009, but he will be.

Bottom line: Libby learned from Cheney/CIA valerie's status, but told reporters...cooper, russert, etc...he'd been hearing it from reporters but didn't know whether it was true or not.

MSNBC calls Christopher Wolf "a pioneer in Internet law." And, indeed, Chris was involved in the earliest matters involving the Internet, helping to make new law for new technologies. He was trial counsel for the old MCI in a three-month-long jury trial involving a failed joint venture for Internet-related equipment, where MCI won a complete victory. He represented The Washington Post in a high-profile challenge to reporters' use of the Internet, winning summary judgment. He represented the recording industry in the first successful lawsuits against online piracy. And he was among the first lawyers to litigate domain name disputes, jurisdictional issues and the limits to online and e-mail marketing. A more recent case involved a trademark law challenge to the use of Google "adwords" for marketing purposes.

Chris also is a regular commentator on NBC, CNN and MSNBC.

His community leadership includes service as Chair of the Washington, DC Governing Board of the Anti-Defamation League and service on the national ADL Executive Committee; President of the Board of Food & Friends, a social service agency; and longtime membership on the Board of the National Symphony Orchestra. Chris is a member of the Cosmos Club in Washington.

They are using Cannistraro's exact arguments (premise that it was Ledeen) in that article. They are wrong. The Italians have denied they were involved and Rocco admitted it was the French.

o can we go back and indict hillary now. Because according to the statement CNN just read, it's a REALLY serious crime and she did lie.

Robert Ray concluded she lied REPEATEDLY under oath. And now she's a Senator and will run for President.

You see how this works? It's a REALLY big deal if you're a Republican and a nothing charge if you're a Democrat.

We knew that, just by the length of this "investigation."
Fitz searched until he found "something."

Oh, no, it's not. And Fitzgerald knows it.

So its he lied to the press so I had to lie to the federal investigators and the grand jury to keep my job defense?

Since Fitzgerald is betting his whole case on her covert status and being named as covert in the indictment, any federal judge that rules that she wasn't covert will have to rule this indictment invalid and require a new indictment. The new indictment will be the negotiated charges between Libby's lawyer and Fitzgerald.
