Per Andrea Mitchell, Fitzgerald told dems on Hill that he intends to write a written report after this is over. That could mean that there won't be any indictments. Fitz was expected to write a report OR issue indictments, but not both.

Chuch Schumer actually went on Fox this morning and said having a staff member indicted is a big deal? I think it's up to us to make sure that everyone remembers just how many staffers and administration people were not just indicted but actually CONVICTED during the Clinton administration. It was a train wreck.

"Wolf Blitzer reminds viewers that Al Capone couldn't be indicted on murder"
Could be the full extent of Wolf's legal knowledge. Al Capone has as much in common with Wolf Blitzer as he does with Scooter Libby. Except, perhaps, that Wolf hasn't been indicted.

Apparently a special prosecutor's tenure is approximately equal to that of a Supreme Court justice.

Chris Dood ought to lay off the mushrooms for a while!
Why was the CIA out to bust on the President? That's what I want to know! Wilson and Plame are part of it. WHO AUTHORIZED Wilson going to Niger? What were his walking orders from that person(s)?
THAT'S what I want to know.

Rove was the target. Anyone less than Rove is a disappointment for them.

The CIA was dangerous enough to set up the WH but using Wilson and Plame to get to them was just plain stupid.

If all Fitz has against Rove is a weak perjury case, GWB should just pardon Karl and get the whole thing over with.
We are, after all, at war. The president needs his most trusted advisor.
To: Howlin; Txsleuth; All
Barry Richard on Fox just said that we should remember that a GJ does NOT determine guilt...they just determine probable cause.
Therefore...this is to remind us ALL that this is even better...because Libby will be found innocent..and the GJ couldn't even find probable cause against Rove.
BTW..Megan Kendall said that this GJ cannot be extended and she doubts that Fitzy would take Rove's case to a brand new GJ...
The only reason he is leaving the investigation open...is if there is a trial for Libby and further evidence against Rove were to come out...

My bet is they don't get "the architect". DU'ers disappointed. Film at 11:00.
