Denmark Arrests 4 in Alleged Terror Plot

COPENHAGEN, Denmark - Police arrested four Danish Muslims Thursday on suspicion of belonging to a network planning a suicide terror attack in Europe, officials said.

The suspects, all males between 16 and 20 years old, were ordered held in jail while police investigate the allegations, police spokesman Joern Bro said.

He said at a news conference that the network had planned to carry out the suicide attack in Europe, but he declined to provide further details.

The suspects, who were not further identified, faced a judge in a closed-door hearing late Thursday in Glostrup, a suburb of Copenhagen.

Danish media quoted Bro as saying that the arrests in Copenhagen were linked to an investigation in the Balkans in which arrests were made this month and large quantities of explosives were found.

He did not specify where the Balkan investigation took place but Bosnian police said last week they arrested three people in Sarajevo on suspicion of undertaking terrorist activities.

Police said they found explosives, firearms and other military equipment in connection with those arrests on Oct. 18 and 19.

Looks like the target may have been " a suicide action against the British or US embassy in Sarajevo. "

This also looks like good police work in Bosnia--they arrested three suspects there the day before and got info from them that led to the arrests in Denmark a day later.

Detective Chief Superintendent Sten Skovgaard said: 'I can confirm there is a connection to the arrests in Bosnia. We have reasons to believe that they were about to plan a terror attack some place in Europe'.

Muslim Bosnia is logistic base for Jihad. Heck, it is place where Al Qeeda was born. Bosnia is used by jihadist to train terrorist and send them to Iraq or Chechnya, gather intelligence and money, bay and stock explosive and weapons. All this was made possible thanks to great efforts “international community” invested in sheltering and helping muslim terrorist.

On 5 July 2005, Bosnian Serb police officers discovered two devices containing 77 lb/35 kg of explosives near the Potocari memorial center for the victims of the 1995 Srebrenica massacre. Tens of thousands of family members, foreign dignitaries and others are scheduled to visit the site on 11 July for a commemoration of the 10th anniversary of the massacre. A police official stated that the devices were "ready to detonate" and that they were capable of causing large-scale casualties and damage. It has yet to be determined who planted the devices.
