That may be what you want.

I want a good judge on the Court. Whether they get there by acclimation or bloodbath is immaterial.

But it is heartwarming to see your love of country so beautifully expressed. It must've pained you to no end that Roberts was such a good candidate that no serious person could mount real opposition. Or that you were denied the opportunity to pay the price that is inherent in every fight.

I'm thinkin' you need to read a little Clausewitz. Or Sun-Tzu.

It's like this: We're not going to get a solid constitutionalist on the court wihtout ruffling some feathers. The Dems are not going to just let one sneak by them.

Read their works. Makes me think of the concubines. (Us)

We will move that rock now. That rock includes mid-term elections.

I can find quotes in "The Art of War" to support the so-called bloodbath, and to oppose it. It is not a bloodbath that we want, it is VICTORY. Unambiguous and crushing defeat for the enemy. While still leaving them a means to escape of course. There are some battles that are so important, it is worth risking everything. This is one of them.
