Please explain how the withdrawel of a woman with very little track record is a win for the democrats?

I won't have to do that. Watch what happens to the next nominee. Watch what 'Rat Senators and the Leftist press say. Watch the moderate Republican Senators refuse to back the President's nominee with the "nucular" option. The President has been gravely weakened (partly on him, partly on the over-the-top reaction from the likes of Maureen Coulter and others) and that makes it more difficult to get a nominee confirmed.

Most of us are going to be doing considerably more than "watching" should those things start to happen. Are you?

Just heard Specter's reaction.

He said that this entire episode, the way in which Miers was treated, was "disgraceful," perhaps the most disgraceful episode he's seen.

Folks, you may as well get ready to deal with a fact: if Arlen Specter does not approve of a prospective nominee, that nominee will not be brought forward.

And, I am listening, STILL, to Laura Ingraham.

And she is STILL trashing Miers. Ripping her speech. Laughing at her writing style.

How in hell can any of you people listen to this wench?

Do you really want a person on the court who is acceptable to the democrats? That's the case in a nutshell of why I can barely support the R.P. any longer. They are always willing to moderate 'the plan' to get it through. And generally that 'plan' winds up being a near mirror of democrat policy.

Simply unacceptable! There damn well should be a fight. That's how wars are won, and we're fighting for the existance of this nation in adherence to what the founding fathers vision was.
