Bill Kristol is an enemy of the Bush family, and has been doing his best to stick it to them since 1988. I have spent a lot of time researching his doings, and I will tell you that if you choose to think he is a conservative icon, you are a fool.
Mr. Conservative was so alarmed that George Bush would win the nomination that he spent darn near two years pushing the only candidate that he thought could win....COLIN POWELL.
What, Colin Powell? That same Colin Powell whom, as Secretary of State was trashed by Bill Kristol? Yes indeed!
Kristol trashed Dan Quayle's prospects with bad advice and was not allowed into the 1992 campaign meetings by James Baker because he constantly leaked to the press. Kristol has NEVER been about anything but getting even with the Bush family. Any time he agrees with the President, it is accidental...as when Bush invaded Iraq. Kristol had spent two years pushing that very action, so he couldn't very well criticize the President for doing so. He COULD, however, criticize the strategy, the tactics, the goals, and demand Rumsfeld's resigination.
Bill Kristol IS a weasel. I have plenty more ammunition than this, and I can document it all, so don't come telling me how awful it is to criticize Bill Kristol...especially after I have spent two weeks seeing Harriet Miers called everything from a pig to a lesbian.
Oh puhleeze....Comments like the above were so few and far between, I never saw them. Some did question the fact she is single and stated disappointment about her age, when her candidacy was first announced, but soon after such criticisms were rare. Most people argued against her nomination reasonably and fairly and I am tired of their arguments being so grossly mischaracteized.
