Bush is the leader of the party by default. You did not follow.

Of course I didn't follow - Bush is not an emperor. As most, I only vote Republican because are supposed to endorse conservative ideals.

Blindly following a leader is what got the party in such shape with Nixon and Bush 41.

Yup! I guess you will get a lesson about coalitions, and how to be patient in politics. You cannot grab too much, too often.

It ends up as a loss every time.

The squishy middle will now be quite content to return to divided government. In fact, they will demand it to be so because they won't and don't trust the party anymore.

Just sit back, enjoy your day, and know that it will all end by the election in 2008.

I don't know what the government will look like, but we will no longer have it all like we do now.
