As a "Bushbot" I have no problem with Miers withdrawing, the crowing is coming from the Anti-Miers crowd. I am not ashamed of myself, nor should I be.
The President gets to pick, not you, not me. As for history, Bush won the presidency--twice. He deserves his pick. In this case his nominee has withdrawn, no tears from me. I just hope the next nominee can stand the fire of both the right and left.

Hopefully, with a wise selection, the fire will be coming solely from the left this time.

He won twice because conservatives worked our asses off to get him elected. We gave our time and money, so when you say he won the election you need to understand that he did it by espousing a conservative agenda. Is it too damn much for us to ask the President to live up to his promises. This crap that he won, and he picks with no consensus is ludicrous, and you really need to read some history. Follow a philosophy and not an individual.

The crowing might be because the 'Anti-Miers' crowd has spent three weeks being told to shut up, get real, and be good little conservative doormats for Bush...
