However, the MAJORITY of Meirs supporters just seem to ignore the speech!!!
I have noticed that from some of the comments. Part of me wishes she had stayed until Judicial hearings but the other part of me is very glad she withdrew.
The childish antics of some on here from both sides doesn't help at all. Calling people names is stupid IMHO. I reserve the right to disagree with this President even though I have supported him since 1994 in Texas -- he doesn't surround himself with lockstep people so why shouldn't we be able to disagree without being disagreeable.
The thread is the perfect reason I did not get involved in the threads before -- leaders from both sides are wrong IMHO with their we don't need your vote crap! Last time I checked, Republicans need the votes of every last person we can get. To tell the religious right we don't need your vote or the more moderate Republicans we don't need your vote is flat out stupid IMHO.
I haven't spent years in the trenches getting Conservative Republicans elected to tell any group we don't need your vote. I want every last vote I can get for a candidate that I support as a member of the grassroots.
Time some folks on here took off their blinders and rolled up their sleeves to elect conservatives and quit these flame wars that get out of hand with name calling. I know that I have been in a lot of them. This time I did not have the knowledge to come down on either side which told me that this was not the candidate I would have preferred.
This Coburn Republican from the grassroots thinks people should channel their energies toward electing more Conservative Republicans instead of fighting each other. We have enough disruptors on here to fight as it is without going after people we know share a basic conservative philosophy.
My more than two cents!
