Thank you for your reply!

me: In the end, IMHO, it will be an apparent moderate who will tilt one way or the other once on the Court.

you: Which a stealth candidate would do anyway. Better the devil you know when dealing with such an important position and especially when a LIFETIME tenure is involved.

Evidently, to you, the Supreme Court issue is political.

To me, it is a Spiritual issue. Many of us have been praying for a very long time for God to heal the Court because we see it as the cause of this country turning away from Him - building a wall between the inalienable rights of the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution, interpreting the Freedom of Religion as the Freedom "from" Religion and so on.

No, to me the Supreme Court is not political or spiritual - it's judicial. I don't want activist nor religious philosopher kings on the court.

I want members on the court that will do their appointed job and no more. They are the judicial branch, not the legislative nor the executive branch.

I want the court to follow the laws as written and within reason, the spirit of the origin. If we do this, if we don't like a ruling then we just change the law. If we have philosopher kings on the court, even changing the law might not be enough.

We are no better than the left if we look to the court to implement our agenda.
