I see, I opposed Miers because I wanted a proven strict constructionist on the court,

You KEEP MISSING THE POINT, she deserved to be HEARD, it was her right as an American.

"she deserved to be HEARD"

And if she had written anything or said anything of substance over the last 30+ years, I'm sure people would have "heard" it. Problem was, she didn't.

They are ALL missing the point. The President had the Constitutional right to nominate her, and she had the right to be heard.

And now that is gone..........and they're slapping each other on the back as though they're good Americans.

Miers has been successfully Borked by the right.

No, read my posts. She had a right to hearings. She WOULD HAVE HAD HEARINGS HAD SHE NOT QUIT. She probably would have been confirmed.

I thought it was a bad nomination, but it was Bush's to make. He has his role, we have ours. Nobody's rights were violated. Not hers or ours. Don't be so dramatic.

ROTFLMAO, and as an American, I didn't have the right to be heard? She also had the right to withdraw her OWN nomination!
