IMHO we are now going to get someone we can all get behind because the President has seen the conservatives of the party are going to stick together when a conservative is nominated. IMHO any conservative that doesn't get behind a Luttig or JRBrown nomination or Owens are not conservatives on here but trying to disrupt. I have read a lot of threads and what I saw were Freepers I know who are conservative genuinely concerned about this nomination. Then when the reports of her interviews with Senators started to come out, I begin to wonder what was up with this nomination. Two and two did not add up.
I was supporting the nomination getting a hearing in the Senate Judiciary because I knew Dr. Tom Coburn would be asking questions. I have complete faith in my Senator to get to the bottom of everything including this nomination.
Like another Freeper said "bait and switch" comes to mind.
If JRB is nominated, you can bet your @ss I'll be behind the Prez.
You watch; the next nominee won't be good enough for the Uber Conseravtives either.
You are forgetting that the Republicans in the Senate act as if they are the minority. That's the problem. Has nothing to do with the infighting going on beyond The Beltway. We can sit here and figuratively gouge our eyeballs out 24/7, or scream from atop mountains, leave messages on Senators voice mailboxes, and the Republicans will still cave to the demands of the Democrats.
Worse yet, they can do what they did for the last two years, and that is: Hightail it to the tailgrass when Schmuckie says "This nominee is 'outside the mainstream'".
