We heard from her through a lifetime of writing and work, what would a couple hours in front of the spineless Senators tell us?Worse...what if she was confirmed? This is the Senta, after all...conservatives don;t hold power.

For victory in Iraq, refer to Iraqi Constitution and jailed dictator.

Bush is so stubborn he'll probably nominate someone even worse just to "show us who's boss".

Come guys it is time to unite :)
I have been defending the President for weeks from the folks who were against Miers but now that she withdrew we need to unite and stand behind our President. He needs us now more than ever.

I'll take those words as Dane Tears. Tasty. Wonderful. This is fun
Your "victory dance" looks like when Elaine on Seinfeld was dancing, but you go ahead and gloat and be pompous. You are entitled to act like an ass.

I opposed Miers, and was lukewarm on Roberts (He's brilliant, but is he an originalist?). Otherwise, I support MUCH of Bush's agenda. All the conservative parts, anyway. Mis-characterizing your opponents views is a time honored tactic, but let's save the hardball for the real enemies, the dems and the media.

Bush is so stubborn he'll probably nominate someone even worse just to "show us who's boss".If that's the case, the White House cleaning staff had better start vetting candidates.

Somehow the "pundits" seem to have taken over the running of the GOP. Pundits who have never been elected to anything, get paid primarily for attracting attention through loose and unsupported commentary, and have never even been on the town council, let alone run a country.BS. The conservative base just flexed its muscles. Miers was a flawed nominee from the very beginning. What has come out since her name was announced reinforces that assessment. The pundits are more in touch with the conservatives than the WH.

We are going to find out with the next pick of a conservative just who the "real" conservatives are on here and who are the disruptors/liberals pretending to be conservatives.Excellent point. Don't get me wrong I think that most were sincere in their passion. I also think some were not - the namecalling and emotional hissyfits is what gave them away. It was just way too much DU.

Did anyone else hear the 8:00 am Eastern ABC Radio news? In the top story, they took an analyst's quote out of context and made it sound as if Bush withdrew the nomination because there must have been embarrassing information in the documents that weren't turned-over.

Hell, sinkspur out and out accused her of being a closet lesbian because she isn't married. She deserved to be heard then voted up or down. You're confused. Very confused.

Ted Olson represented President Bush after the Florida election results before the Supreme Court.
