Peter King, believe it or not, has become one of the gutsier Republicans...and HE's from new York!!!!!
He's basically a "Good-guy" I think. Several decades ago, I needed some hard-to-find information about our area for a homework assignment. I called his office to ask his secretary the question. I was surprised when she put my call through and he kindly tried to help me get the answer.
I've written letters to him, disagreeing with his vote on Clinton's impeachment and with his vote on copyright law. I've written letters to him about other issues, too, and his office usually sends specific responses.
he's my congressman. and he is not in a solidly safe republican district either. I think he is just fed up.
