Folks, let’s be realistic here. Does it really matter if Libby or even Rove gets indicted? In the grand scheme of things, and taking their current roles into mind, they are small fish. The election ended close to a year ago. Rove was moved to a position that holds a title that indicates less authority than the Secretary of Commerce.
Then there is I. Scooter Libby. Did anyone honestly even know who the hell this guy was until Fitz and gang decided to question him? I recently asked a lady at work if she had ever heard of I. Scooter Libby. She replied, “Gesundheit”.
I’ll be honest; I had no clue who the chief of staff was for the Vice President. When I heard the name Scooter, I actually pictured some pencil neck geek in bottle rim glasses. Today I finally saw a picture of the guy, I was shocked, he was actually an astute looking gent.
Word is that Libby was ole buddy, ole pal with Mr. Rich of Pardongate fame. Then don’t let the door hit him on the way, I say. This may be a good chance for the Bush administration to rid the Executive Offices of a connection to Democrats.
With the Main Stream Media fools reaching a fevered pitch, I just thought it wise to put it all in some context. Rove is pretty much killing time these days. Any advice he has given lately has not gone over too well with many in the Republican base. The WH is taking a beating from its own lately.
We conservatives should not get sucked into this so hard. That is what folks like Chris Matthews want. I have come to realize that, short of an indictment of Bush, Republicans will still be one up on Democrats.
Let the Dems say, “we got your political advisor”. Republicans can reply with, “Big deal, we got your President…and a blue dress” And for anyone worried about voter turn out after all of this. Keep in mind that Clinton got re-elected. Voters will turn out no matter what. Especially in today’s partisan world.
In the end, Rove will still get any needed communication with GW through. Bet on it. And, if indicted, he will be free to mastermind some campaign strategies for the mid-terms.
Ole Fitz will go down as an over zealous prosecutor.
And as for I. Scooter Libby, who cares. He’ll end up fading back into the unknown. Which is just where a person who goes by the name “Scooter” belongs.
Relax folks. Bush is not going anywhere.
Fitzgerald long ago got permission to go well beyond investigating the original article. That is basically irrelevant at this point.
You "out an agent" and commit a crime as soon as you tell someone who doesnt have a security clearance regardless of whether they publish the story. The whole world doesnt need to know. Just one person who is not supposed to. Say a spy gets the information, are you saying it doesnt matter as long as the American public dont know?
More than likely these idiots Rove and Libby are going to get indicted for perjury. Libby in particular may have to explain how he lied to his written notes since his grand jury testimony supposedly said he heard about Wilsons wife from reporters.
But they already think they're evil, and they already try their best to convince us of that daily. I know it's frustrating, but I think we can all pretty much write off the MSM, and just rely on each other for the truth.
The hell with them.
I agree there is a rogue element in the CIA and the State Department, but if you seriously think Fitzgerald is going to indict anyone outside the White House, you are delusional. No prosecutor can keep that close a secret for two years. There would have been series of CIA witnesses at the grand jury and that would have been news. Wilson or his wife being called before the grand jury would have been news. Rove doesnt come back for a fourth time to testify against the rogue elements of the CIA. Nada. Better take a break from politics, you are losing it.
Chrissy Mathews had that guy on his show last year and the story was the same.
Think about it!!!! Here we are hearing about the FBI questioning Joe Wilson's neighbors the night before we are supposed to see indictments handed down by the Grand Jury.... It simply doesn't make sense, methinks MSNBC fell for a publicity whore
I had the same strong feeling in November 1964 when I just knew that Goldwater was going to win in a landslide. I had that same feeling again in November 72 when I knew McGovern was going to squeek out a win. I had it again last week when I was convinced that the Cardinals were going to win the World Series.

I have a different take on why Miller went to jail. First of all, Fitzgerald needed her testimony to prove that Libby had told her about Wilson's wife. He probably was also trying to get her to incriminate Cheney as well.
Additionally, an unstated reason for showing no leniency to Miller is that she accidentally tipped off the head of a charity that was funding Al Qaeda that Fitzgerald was going to raid their office the next day. The charity went to into overdrive destroying documents. Fitzgerald indicted the organizations leader but was not able to get a conviction. One of the biggest blemishes on his record.
I would say for the same reason they were at the White House today reinterviewing staff members, particularly about Rove and Libby's schedules and meetings. They want to have everything nailed down before they decide whether to indict.

I hope it wakes up the President. Maybe he will finally play hard ball and stop protecting the likes of the Clinton gang.
This is simply payback for the Clinton impeachment. Most Americans could care less about this entire episode. We're too busy bitching about gas and real estate prices.
Right. Although they are the center of the matter, the charges will structured so that Wilson and Plame will be irrelevant to them. This needs to be repeated as too many are getting excited at the prospect. Better to be aware now than disappointed later.

Okay I apologize for verbalizing what I was thinking. However, I cant believe there is more than a 2% chance that elements within the CIA will be indicted over this. I think you are setting yourself up for a real shock tomorrow. Thinking that Wilson and the CIA will be indicted is less likely than expecting Goldwater to win on election day, 1964.
People on Fitzgeralds staff interviewed I presume lower level staff and secretaries/admins at the White House. I think it was in an article on Drudge but I could be wrong. Of course the MSM could be lying but i didnt hear anything from the WH saying it didnt occur.
