A majority would vote for a Democrat over President Bush if an election were held this year, according to a CNN/USA Today/Gallup Poll released Tuesday.

In the latest poll, 55 percent of the respondents said that they would vote for the Democratic candidate if Bush were again running for the presidency this year.

Well of course GWB'd lose an election if it were held right now. Why would anyone go to the polls on an off-year to vote for someone who still has more than half their last term remaining?

Yeah, yeah. Piss and moan. Lamest excuse in the world.

As I remind my lib friends, I told them when Slick Willie was impeached that if they didn't cut him loose it would come back to haunt them in a big way. I regularly tell them that if Clinton had resigned and Algore had run as an incumbent he would be president today. They sold their souls for that sociopath and still continue to pay the price. And I LOVE to point it out.

There is always a possibility that the dems can win an election. But NEVER a possibility that it will be by default. That is the problem for the MSM and dems right now. Because they offer no agenda and are so blatantly anti-American, the only way they can win is by default. The MSM has to create the illusion that a default victory is in the offing. The dems believe this lie and act like a default victory is in the offing. Then, voila, the Republicans present and agenda and campaign. The results over most of the election cycles have been the same. Hell, even in 1998 when the Republicans suffered an election setback, they still held onto the House and Senate. But even then, there was a lesson to be learned. In 1998 the Republicans lost focus on an agenda and just made Clinton and his Monica problems the subject of the campaign. Hmmmm.

Who votes for someone they have no idea who it is? I would say they have a large percentage of morons in this poll.

In other words, Candidate X - who usually beats an actual incumbent by 15 points - beat the President by 10 points among "all respondents" not "likely voters."

Therefore, if the Democrats ran a perfect candidate right now, even the perfect candidate might not beat the president among actual voters.

I think it would depend on who the Democrat is. Even with low poll numbers, I believe that President Bush could beat Algore or the purple heart guy.

Isn't that what CNN/Gallup Polls said during the campaign year? Both of them?

This is so typical of the MSM.

We are bored. We do not want to think today.

Let's take a push poll to make us feel good.

Sort of like Bubba and the sink.
